Where can you make maps of?
Anywhere in the world. How much building detail I can get depends on the data available for your area. Where public LiDAR scans exists buildings are modeled from aircraft laser scans and come out very sharp. Everywhere else I build from open map data, which still makes a clean, great looking map, just with less fine detail on individual roofs. Send me the area you want and I will tell you exactly what to expect before you order.
How much does a custom map cost?
Custom maps are your standard map price plus $20, framed, with free shipping. That is $59.99 for Essentials 11 inch, $79.99 for Essentials 13 inch, and $119.99 for Premium 13 inch. There is no payment when you send your request. You only pay once we have finalized your map and you order from the listing I send you.
How big of an area should I pick?
Between 1.5 and 2 square miles tends to look best. Smaller than that and the map can feel empty. Larger and the small buildings and thin roads start to lose definition. If you need something outside that range, pick it anyway and tell me what you are after.
Will I see it before it is made?
Always. I build a rendering of your map and send it to you to approve first, so there are no surprises. If something is off, I adjust it before printing.
